"I've grown accustomed to his face" (Lerner y Loewe)
I've grown accustomed to his faceHe almost makes the day beginI've grown accustomedTo the tune that he whistles night and noonHis smiles, his frownsHis ups, his downsAre second nature to me nowLike breathing out and breathing inI was serenely independentAnd content before we metSurely I could always be that way againAnd yet, I've grown accustomed to his lookAccustomed to his voiceAccustomed to his face
I'm so used to hearing him say"Good morning, " every dayHis joys, his woesHis highs, his lowsAre second nature to me nowLike breathing out and breathing inI'm very grateful he's a man and so easy to forgetRather like a habit one can always breakAnd yet, I've grown accustomedTo the trace of something in the airAccustomed to his face
