Quizá sea ese verso de la canción, "If we're all free, then why does it seem we can't just be?" el que concentra el sentido de esta canción paradoja, "del otro extremo".
Flipside (Norah Jones & Pete Remm)
I tried to get high, but you wanted me lowGood things are happening, but happening slowIt's some kind of mystery from long ago
I finally know who I'm supposed to beMy mind was locked but I found the keyHope it don't all slip away from me
Hard times, fine linesMoments pass by and I cryRewind, step behindIt's hard to find the flipside
I can't stand when you tell me to get backIf we're all free, then why does it seem we can't just be?
You saw your reflection all over the newsYour temperature's well past a hundred and twoPut the guns away, or we'll all gonna lose
Stand by, or take flightEat or throw your peace pieWalk on, or be mineMoments fly by and I cry
I can't stand when you tell me to get backIf we're all free, then why does it seem we can't just be?I can't stand when you tell me to get backIf we're all free, then why does it seem we can't just be?
