Ike Quebec: Brother Can You Spare A Dime 1961

El sonido de las primeras notas del órgano de Freddie Roach en este Brother, can You Spare Me A Dime?, es como un latigazo al que sigue el saxo profundo de Ike Quebec.  La canción fue escrita por dos inmigrantes judíos, E.Y. Harburg y Jay Gorney,  y daría nombre en 1975 a un gran documental sobre la depresión que siguió al Crack del 29 y cómo se vivió en las calles y en Hollywood. La densidad del saxo queda contrastada con los otros instrumentos, con Milt Hinton al bajo y Al Harewood en la batería. Un gran trabajo de todos para conseguir ese dramatismo del tema.
